Collaborative Care for Better Vision Outcomes
Conditions We Evaluate
Vision therapy may be recommended for certain visual function concerns after a detailed evaluation. At VLPS, we assess symptoms, visual skills, and eye health to determine the right next step.
Convergence Insufficiency
Difficulty keeping both eyes working together during reading or close-up tasks.
Focusing Difficulties
Trouble shifting focus between near and far distances, or maintaining focus during close-up work.
Eye Tracking Problems
Difficulty moving the eyes smoothly across text, screens, or moving objects.
Eye Teaming Problems
When both eyes do not coordinate comfortably or consistently.
Amblyopia Support
Additional visual support may be recommended depending on age, diagnosis, and treatment goals.
Strabismus Support
Some cases of eye turn or eye misalignment may benefit from further evaluation and care recommendations.
Visual Discomfort After Concussion
Some patients experience focusing, tracking, or eye teaming symptoms after injury and may need a visual function assessment.
Reading-Related Visual Strain
Vision therapy may help when reading discomfort is linked to eye teaming, focusing, or tracking issues.

Vision problems don’t always appear during a routine eye exam. Difficulties with reading, learning, attention, eye teaming, focusing, and visual processing can often be related to binocular vision dysfunction.
Complete our Vision Therapy Symptom Checklist to better understand your symptoms and determine whether a Binocular Vision Evaluation may be recommended.
Vision Therapy is currently offered exclusively at our Northville VLPS location.
